January is typically when everyone starts working on their health. We all know we should get healthy and make changes for longevity but... how do we go about feeling healthier? Do we start with what we are eating? Do we drink more water? Take more supplements? The health list goes on and on.... What if I said, there is a 4 hour retreat that you can go to, become clear on what needs to happen and develop your personalized roadmap for 2026? You just need to show up. Would you go? Top 10 Things to Do This Month - Look at Your Skills, Abilities and Systems for Success!
- Embrace Change - It's the year of the Horse, your inner drive has been cooped up since COVID and it's rearing out of the gate! But what's your destination? Think... where do I want to go this year and how do I get there? What changes do I need to make for me to become a better person?

Become Inspired and Get Motivated! - If you have a hard time becoming inspired and motivated, it's time to meet new people. You need to see what awesome opportunities await you! and Oh by the way, you're not going to experience them sitting on the couch watching tv... Get up and get out of your routine! Do something different to inspire you and shake up that slumber you've been in these past few years!
- Yes, Yes, Reflect on the Past Year - Particularly reflect on what did work... and get some more of that! When Life Coaching Professionals, once they get over the grumbling and complaining of what didn't work, my folks realize the beautiful life they have and the possibilities that are endless! What were some positive highlights of the past year? What were some low periods? What can you go after that will bring joy to you?
- Resilience and LEARNING from the Lessons You Learned This Past Year - Ok, upon reflection, things in 2025 didn't go as smoothly as you planned. If you look more closely at what transpired last year, what did you learn? Can you take that lesson(s) and become WISE this year when PROBLEM-SOLVING and making decisions, especially if it happens next time. Can you respond/react better to a similar case scenario? What behaviors do you want to continue? What behaviors need to change? This is where we take ownership of our behavior, pull up our big boy/girl pants and keep going! The key element here is changing our behaviors for the better - better for ourselves, better for our family, better for our community.
- Perseverance - Here in lies the root of change...perseverance. Typically, change does not happen overnight. It happens over time. You may have control of that time, and sometimes you don't. Perseverance is continuing to try regardless of time... regardless of money... regardless of support... regardless of __________ (any excuse - fill in the blank).... Perseverance is YOU and your daily actions. Take away time, take away money, take away your excuses... figure out how YOU CAN get it done! As Marie Forleo states in the Title of her book "Everything is Figure-Out-Able"! (Insert Plug for the Saturday and Sunday Scheduling for Success workshops.. hint..hint.. you need this!)
- Preparation - Here are Key Elements to Success... get clear and prepare for 2026 with the AFISA Elements Identity Game, Use the AFISA Elements CVPS Sheets and the Extraordinary Life Vision Planner! - Productivity - What are your systems for Productivity? Have you thought about what gives you energy throughout the day to get things done? What is your system for remembering your daily tasks and major goals? Who is supporting you as you take action towards becoming a better person? Are you clear in the steps towards your goals? How do you know you are making progress versus spinning your wheels? Is it time to see your Life Coach Adele Frost? Maybe at a free workshop???
- Fun / Pleasure - You are here for a short period of time, only about 100 years or so... are you taking advantage of this thing called "LIFE" and the gifts you've been given upon birth? Can you take short breaks of pleasure each day? Can you do something new this week or month? Can you break out of your shell and take an albeit safe risk?
- Communication - Need to share your wants and needs to others to make things happen or better yet, need to advocate for yourself to take next steps toward self-actualizing? Remember, ask and you shall receive. Knock on those doors and it shall be opened. Believe. Believe. Believe it will come to you then receive it! If you don't start with voicing your wants and needs, no one knows what you want or need, even yourself. So tell yourself, what do I want and need? Then start asking or telling others. Communicate and advocate for yourself!
- Gratitude - With awareness and consciousness, most of my clients realize that the Universe has been supporting them all along. They realize that they do have the gifts of talents and resources to draw from toward the next step of becoming a better person! Look in your current environment and be grateful for what is around you, especially food, clean water, clothing, a roof over your head, a working computer (to read this post!), means of income, a car and the money to get gas to use the car. As this year ends, be grateful for your present moment. Everything that happened last year, made you the strong person you are today.

Take the time in January 2026 to organize the year. Assess your skills, abilities and systems of support to gauge where you are today. This helps you to clarify the steps you need to take to get you closer toward your goals. I know it takes some work to do this but if you do this in January-March, you have 11-9 months to work toward your goal before 2027. I can help you do this at the January Retreat or in private Life Coaching Sessions. I am rooting for you to become your best-self.
